Small pieces of art that become jewels and unite with desires...
Wishes, the fruits of The Tree of Wishes
The Wishing Tree is a fusion of elements of Japanese culture:
・In Japan, the Torii is a red wooden gate that marks the entrance to a Shinto shrine. It indicates a sacred area.
・Ojizosan, small stone statue located on the right, symbolizes the protection of the wayfarer.
・The Shimenawa, a braided rope made of rice straw, and the Shide (zigzag-shaped folds of white paper) hanging from it or around the tree trunk, symbolize the demarcation of a sacredspace and offer spiritual protection
・The sea represents the welcome to all who long to make their wish.
Copper gives life to this work, by its oxidation and its inevitable change of color.
Deseos are born from the trunk of the tree in the form of spirals, they grow and rise, until they become fruits.
A work that clears the mind and the heart.
